Dan Futrell

Dan Futrell serves as CEO of the Pat Tillman Foundation, a foundation that finds and develops leaders and amplifies their impact in healthcare, public service, business, STEM, law, education, and more. For nearly 20 years, Dan has led operations and strategy in nonprofits spanning leadership development, affordable housing and workforce development.
Dan previously commanded combat units in the U.S. Army with whom he served over two years deployed in and around Baghdad, Iraq. For his service, Dan was twice awarded the Bronze Star Medal, in addition to earning the Ranger tab and Combat Infantryman’s Badge. Dan holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School as a 2011 Tillman Scholar and a Bachelors in Business Administration from Gonzaga University.
When he’s not working, he’s with his wife and two toddlers outside of Chicago or training for the next marathon.
